USS Enterprise (CV6)
The objects and virtual environment of the USS Saratoga (CV-60) that you can tour through this website were created by an artist studio under my direction. What is described on this page is a new project I started working on in late 2023 to develop the skills to create objects and environments on my own. The objects are created in a 3D modeling software called Blender and brought into a virtual environment in a gaming software called Unreal Engine 5 (UE5). The first image below shows the Inboard Profile and Flight Deck Plan of the USS Yorktown (CV-5). These plans have been used as reference to build a digital 3D model of the USS Enterprise (CV-6) from the keel up in Blender and then bring it into a gaming environment created in (UE5) to walk around and explore as it is developed.
Copies of original deck plans were printed in 1/16th scale and used as reference to develop the 3D model in Blender
